Below is my proposal for the project;
26/4/19 – launch of final project
In this time I’m going to choose what instruments I want to use and in what way I want to use them.
I’ll then find a set of chords which sound how I’d imagine the song to sound and then form those into a verse and change them up for the chorus and then finish with a slow section at the end.
After all that is done I’m going to try first and pick a topic for my song then go about in writing the lyrics to fit the song best.
5/4/19
By this point in the project I should hopefully have my song finished and be ready to record
23/4/19 – 3/5/9
In this time I should of got the musicians I need together and be practicing the song so everyone know whats they are doing and are ready to record.
3/5/19
Straight after rehearsing we should go straight into recording.
7/5/19
This week we are recording vocals for my song which is now where I come in.
14/05/19
During this time we have been set the task of mixing our songs so they sound good and ready to record.
1/6/19
On this date we have planned to release and play live our songs to an audience but the venue is not yet decided.

Playing the instruments
The people who are playing on my song heart-brake is Tom, Ben, Louis, Ryan and Craig for the live event but for the recording it’s just me doing all of the parts so that’s vocals cajon and guitar , because I wanted to be more hands on in the production.
The instruments we have are , guitar 1, guitar 2 , bass , cajon and keyboard
This I think makes the song sound more full and together and brings it to a place I wanted it to be at and I am happy with the end result.
Recording and mixing
Because I’ve decided to do the song on my own I will only have to record myself. So I don’t need to work around other musicians time tables. I will only just fully perfect my song on the first week as I’m cutting it quite fine with having it ready. Hopefully I will manage to record on the Thursday and Friday on the second week of recording.
In regards to the mixing side , I’m quite new with all the techniques and quirks that go along with that part so I will ask for some guidance off Simon and will manage to clear some parts out plus cut and splice some things so they will sound right and clear. As well as sort out the sound of the guitar and cajon so it sounds fuller and more complete.
Marketing my single
I’m planning to launch the single at a live venue somewhere in the South West area.
I’m also going to upload it onto Soundcloud and possibly other streaming platforms. The way I’m going to put this out and get people to listen to is I’m going to promote it on social media platforms and onto my website. I also have connections in a couple of radio stations so I’m going to talk to them and hope they can shout my song out live on air.
I will also contact BBC introducing and hopefully get it played on there.
Organise the event
As a team we were handed out roles and positions for the project and for the gig , my role is searching for venues and places for us to perform at .
I’m planning to look at pubs situated in the south west area and also follow up on the village hall in my village because I know thats a good space and they do good deals on hiring it out.
I need to consider accessibility for everyone on the course and people coming to watch also possible look for venues which are well known and accept musical acts.
